Trio Tsuica will be performing Hungarian, Romanian, and Balkan music at the Jade Lounge along with artists Night Folk and the Short Stories.
The Trio Tsuica is an actual band of Transylvanian hipsters playing the music of gypsy cultists from their strange & faraway land. Katya, Pavel and their quite mad violinist, Sergei, plan to burn all evil souls to cinders with their wild, cabala based rhythms. Night Folk are zombie-attired folksingers with a penchant for Elizabethan ballads. The Short Stories are another ghoulishly attired folk group featuring the Polish Princess, Jennifer Smieja, on astounding astral chanting, and presenting their tales of the mundane made chilling.

Join 3 Leg Torso and 45th Parallel for a production of “To Hungary and Beyond: An Evening of Musical Eclectica” with special guest appearance by Grammy nominated pianist, Adam Neiman. The two ensembles will be celebrating and performing music by Dohnanyi, Monti, and other exciting and fiery pieces from various cultures around the globe.
Embracing his cultural and musical roots, Béla R. Balogh and the members of 3 Leg Torso will unleash an interpretation of Vittorio Monti’s Csárdás, a tribute to the quintessential Hungarian dance of the same name. 3 Leg Torso’s world class percussionists Gary Irvine (The Harry Partch Ensemble) and T.J. Arko put an explosive musical twist on the theme with a Latin influence while using unorthodox instruments including the bicycle bell and xylophone.
